Downsize in 2016?

In the end we didn't downsize in 2016, however we did add a few nice upgrades to the house and Oscar likes the new shower. Let's see what 2017 brings!

Sarah back in Las Terrenas amongst friends and of course palm trees.
Sarah took us to the beach at Rio San Juan. It was beautiful.
This was a deserted cove next door to the more popular beach at Rio San Juan.

We were invited to Nanda's daughters wedding today 13-Nov-16. It was a Muslim wedding therefore a new experience for us. We had a nice time and it was very colourful. Minu (L) Nanda with her mum (R).

July 2016, we spent the weekend with Judy and Russel at their new home in Collingwood, Ontario. We hadn't been to Collingwood since we first came to Canada. It's very nice. Georgian Bay in the background.
I had the good fortune to watch these two loons on Peck Lake. I had better fortune the previous night listening to the loons calling on 'Lake of Two Rivers'.

Friday 27th May 2016 would normally be a work day, but instead Daisy and I have come to Algonquin Park and are taking in our first view and photo opportunity at Smoke Lake.
Daisy on point duty as we head from Lake of Two Rivers towards White Fish Lake. This time we did complete the short 50 meter portage, my first ever.
We paddled from Lake of Two Rivers towards Cache Lake on the Madawaska River but these falls interrupted our journey and we turned around.

February 14, 2016, Valentines day in Barrie, Ontario. The temperature reached -33.3 degreesC, which broke a Valentine's day record set in 1879.

Cold temperatures were not going to stop Lynda. What a fabulous day we had. Blue sky all day and with so many layers of clothing it didn't feel like record setting temperatures.
